Canine Hydrotherapy

Most dogs love water so the idea of exercising on an underwater treadmill often results in great excitement! Hydrotherapy is a highly effective treatment option for dogs that have painful chronic conditions such as arthritis. The buoyancy of water allows the dog to move more comfortably than on land. Its also fantastic for maintaining cardiovascular health in individuals that are less abled and helps speed up recovery times as part of a dog’s post-operative orthopaedic care. By adjusting the water height, speed and temperature, we allow safe and controlled weight bearing on weak or painful limbs. As a dog’s strength and range of movement improves, so too does their confidence. Hydrotherapy is a popular form of therapy that’s frequently requested by vets.

Canine Physiotherapy

We’re here to help your dog live their best life for the longest time possible. Physiotherapy is an effective form of therapy to relieve pain, increase mobility and improve quality of life. It’s also a treatment option that’s widely utilised in veterinary medicine. Our manual techniques are gentle and administered to facilitate tissue repair. We also help reduce pain through exercise, education and advice.

Injury Prevention

Our philosophy is simple. A fit and balanced dog is less prone to injury and illness. We’ll educate you on how best to prevent injuries from occurring. If a problem has already set in, we provide useful advice on how to slow the progression so you can preserve your dog’s quality of life for the longest time possible. There are many steps towards enhancing wellness and we’re here to assist you to make the best lifestyle choices for your dog with their long-term wellness in mind.

Laser Therapy

Fast, drug-free and lasting pain relief for your dog. We use a medical grade Class 4 laser to deliver light into the tissues to reduce pain, inflammation and accelerate healing.

Your dog will feel a gentle massage and soothing warmth as their pain is eased by the laser. The laser pours into the tissue and gets absorbed by the cells, similar to photosynthesis in a plant. The laser infuses energy into the cell to promote increased blood flow and promote healing.

Laser therapy can be used to treat postoperative injuries, Osteoarthritis, Degenerative Myelopathy and improve muscle strains.

Lifelong Wellness Care Programs

Wellness is defined as an approach to healthcare that prolongs life and promotes wellbeing. It’s a commitment. So if wellness is important to you, why not take your dog on a wellness journey too. We’ll empower you to make the right choices about things such as your dog’s diet, exercise and home environment & we’ll work with you every step of the way to ensure your dog lives their best life.

Bespoke Rehabilitation

We believe dogs should receive the same quality of care as we do. As humans, we’re seen by a physiotherapist to commence rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery. The same applies to the dogs we see at the centre. There are a wide array of physio techniques and rehab principles available so we’ll work with you to tailor a rehab program which gives your dog the best chance of an excellent recovery after their surgery.

I’m Pearl, your canine wellness professional.

I began my career as a physiotherapist 14 years ago. While I spent quite a few years practicing as a human physio, in 2012 I decided to broaden my expertise into the equine and canine fields undertaking a two-year Masters degree at university in the UK. I also completed professional courses in the USA, Holland and Ireland to further expand my knowledge. Since then, I’ve had terrific success working with elite thoroughbreds throughout Australia and across the globe. However, a couple of years ago I had a sense that my soul was searching for more and that my journey would take another direction.

We’d love to help you and your four-legged friend
